she was born into emptiness
in an instant, a spark in the darkness
then quickly it faded
had we anticipated
that it would come to this,
that it would be like this

she was spaced out on sensation
never believed that she could break the spell
couldn't feel the sweet elation
but she can feel it now,
she is listening now

a sudden shout
then all the world turned inside out
a single sound
they say that her body was never found
but i can see her now,
she is listening now

and when all the stars are fading slowly
then it's time to say goodnight
there's no fear in feeling lonely
when the end is within sight
